Lisieux Trout Pond is a stocked pond in southern Saskatchewan. It is located 10km NNW of Rockglen. Last stocked with rainbow trout and tiger trout in 2025.

There is a parking lot just off the highway with a trail that leads to the pond. The trail crosses a creek over a small bridge. It's a pretty walk, but looks like it has the potential to be pretty wet. The pond is surrounded by a berm with stairs down to the water.

Rainbow Trout and Tiger Trout can be found in Lisieux Trout Pond. It is stocked every year with rainbow trout and every second year with tiger trout.

Little Manitou Lake is one of Saskatchewan’s most unique lakes. Nicknamed the “Dead Sea of Canada”, the lake has an exceptionally high mineral content with salinity about half that of the Dead Sea. This allows swimmers to float effortlessly in its waters, making it a destination unlike any other in the province.

The lake is located just 5 km north of Watrous and about 126 km west of Saskatoon, with access via Highway 365.

Because of its high salt concentration, no fish live in Little Manitou Lake, but the water itself is the main attraction. Its unique buoyancy and healing reputation have drawn people to its shores for generations.

Little Nesslin Lake is a small paddling and fishing lake located 18km NE of Big River. The lake is a really quiet, beautiful spot, and a great paddling destination with a few different bays to explore.

There is no road access to the lake, I portaged the small creek from Swede Lake to access Little Nesslin Lake. There is a hiking trail into the lake as well but I haven't been on it, several boats have been left at the end of the trail.

Walleye, Northern Pike, and Yellow Perch can be found in Little Nesslin Lake. I caught a small Pike on my third cast while paddling through.

The main inflow for Nesslin Lake is the small creek from Swede Lake, another creek flows out of the lake on the south west end of the lake.

Lost Echo Lake is a beautiful recreational lake on the far West side of Narrow Hills Provincial Park just past Piprell Lake. It's surrounded by trees and is nestled in a glacier-formed valley in the Cub Hills.

Note: the lake was hit by the SHOE Fire and was closed for the entire 2025 season. I haven't been able to get in since the fire, and I'm not sure what things look like now.

There is a provincial park campground at the lake with a number of non-electric sites, a primitive boat launch, outhouses, and a fish filleting station. There is no cell service at the lake. The road has been improved from what it was like, but can still be very rough to travel on. The lake can be quite shallow in areas, and the boat launch is quite primitive as well.

Lostman's Lake is a small lake with poor access just north off the road to Nesslin Lake. The lake is 18KM ENE of Big River. There is access to the lake for a small boat or paddlers. It looks like a nice quiet lake for a paddle.

There are two access points to the lake both leading to the boat launch. The first access was blocked by a tree when I tried to make it down, but the second one was clear. (May, 2024) Neither of the access trails had signs.

Northern pike and yellow perch have been reported in the lake.

The Lovering Lakes are a pair of small lakes just outside of Chamberlain. All public access and amenities are on the western lake. The lake is accessible down a gravel road off Highway 733.

The lake is very clear and is a popular diving destination. Several attractions for divers to explore are at the bottom of the lake, including a dive bell, a car, and row boat.

There is a recreation site with a small beach, day-use picnic areas, outhouses, and a boat launch. The rec site is a great spot to stop if you're passing by on the highway. Lots of room to stretch your legs, have a picnic, or go for a swim!

Northern pike, walleye, and smallmouth bass can be found in the lake.

Lovering Lake is also the first lake to be stocked with smallmouth bass since 1998 here in Saskatchewan. A small number of Bass were stocked in the lake in 2023 and again in 2025.

Lower Fishing Lake is a very popular recreational and fishing lake in Narrow Hills Provincial Park.

Unfortunately Lower Fishing Lake was hit pretty hard by the SHOE Fire during the summer of 2025. The fire base, community hall, and parts of the campground were burnt. The campground has been cleaned up and should be ready for campers again in 2026. It's going to look different, but this is still an awesome lake and park to explore.

There is a large provincial campground at the lake, a boat launch, cabins, playgrounds, and a very nice beach. This is a great family-friendly lake with lots to do. It is also just a short drive from dozens of other lakes offering endless fishing, paddling, and exploring opportunities.

Pine Ridge Resort with cabin rentals, seasonal RV sites, and a small store is located beside the campground.
