Emerald Pond

This small stocked trout pond is located 58 km SW of La Ronge, just off Highway 2, a little south of the Montreal River Campground.

The area around the pond was burnt by wildfire in 2025.

It has been stocked with both Tiger Trout and Brown Trout. There is no boat launch and limited shore access for fishing. A small boat, canoe, kayak, etc is recommended.

Pretty little pond just off the highway. Quite a bit of garbage around. Could launch a canoe or kayak. Bit of a parking lot. Has a sign from the highway.

Great little spot. No boat launch. It's quite small. You will need a non motorized watercraft... canoe, kayak, tube to fish it. Very little access for shore fishing. Being that it's a stones throw from the highway, expect trash around the area.
