Colwell Lake is a medium sized (645 acre) lake located 39km E of La Ronge and 218km NNE of Prince Albert.

Colwell Lake was named after Robert Edwin Colwell on 1957-11-07 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
