The lake is in the central fishing zone. Splake, Tiger Trout and White Sucker can be found in Mullock Lake. It was last stocked in 2023 with 1,500 Tiger Trout Fingerlings.

Lac La Ronge Provincial Park is adjacent to the lake.

MacKay Lake Recreation Site is 2.7km NE, Devil Lake Recreation Site is 22km SSW, Holy Trinity Anglican Church/Stanley Mission Historic Site is 21km WNW, Missinipe Recreation Site is 16km SSW, Holy Trinity Anglican Church and Stanley Mission Historic Site is 21km WNW of Mullock Lake.

Mullock Lake was named after Robert Mullock on 1962-02-09 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
