Waterhen Lake is a massive fishing and recreational lake in central Saskatchewan. It is located at the far east end of Meadow Lake Provincial Park. Much of the north and south shores of the lake are bordered by the Waterhen Reserve 130. The main reserve community is located on the northeast shore of the lake.

Waterhen Lake is located about 40km N of the City of Meadow Lake with access from Highways 904, 041, and 951. Most services are on the west side of the lake with access from Highway 904. There is a brand new provincial park campground and boat launch, and two private resorts offering camping, cabin rentals, and more (Tawaw Cabins and Miywasin Ota Resort). The Hamlet of South Waterhen Lake is also located at the lake just north of the provincial park campground.

Waterhen Lake is the second largest lake at least partially within the park, with only Cold Lake on the far west side being bigger. The lake itself is split into two bodies of water joined by a narrow channel.

Northern Pike, Yellow Perch, Walleye, Lake Whitefish, Burbot, White Sucker, Cisco and Longnose Sucker can be found in Waterhen Lake. Please note there is a custom limit for Walleye in Waterhen Lake

Waterhen Lake is located along the course of the Waterhen River, which flows east from Lac des Îles into the southern shore of Waterhen Lake. The river leaves the lake in the northeast corner and flows into the Beaver River, and eventually into the Churchill River.
