Waterhen Lake is a massive lake located 19km ENE of Greig Lake (Village) and 40km N of Meadow Lake (City). The lake has a surface area of 17,917 acres and is located at: 54.48223858843132,-108.40566146405277.

The lake is in the central fishing zone. Burbot, Cisco, Lake Whitefish, Longnose Sucker, Northern Pike, Walleye, White Sucker and Yellow Perch can be found in Waterhen Lake.

Meadow Lake Provincial Park is adjacent the lake. Waterhen Lake is partially within Waterhen 130 (Reserve) and partially within Meadow Lake No. 588 (Rural Municipality).

Pagan Lake Recreation Site is 20km NNW and Beaver River Recreation Site is 24km NNE of Waterhen Lake.

The lake was officially named on 1945-07-28.
