Pearl Lake

Pearl Lake is one of the popular "Gem Lakes" located in Narrow Hills Provincial Park. The Gem Lakes are an incredibly popular destination for hiking, paddling, swimming, and camping!

Unfortunately the lake was significantly impacted by the SHOE fire in the summer of 2025. The forest around the Gem Lakes was burnt including many of the amenities at the lakes, the campsites at the Gem Lakes will remain closed for the 2026 season. You can see some photos and videos I took at nearby Jade Lake in November 2025 here.

This "Gem" is the least accessible lake on trail system. There is a background campsite, and a hiking trail to the lake but no easy portage like on the other lakes.

Pearl Lake is located just to the west of Sapphire Lake and south of Opal Lake. There is one back-country campsite at Pearl Lake.

The only access to Pearl Lake is by trail. The hiking trail goes to the east shore of the lake. The parking lot for accessing all the Gem Lakes is located near Jade Lake.

Unlike most of the Gem Lakes, Pearl is not stocked and has no fish species reported. It was stocked twice in 1989/1991 with splake but hasn't been stocked since.
