Splake in Saskatchewan

Splake are one of the species of stocked trout that can be found in Saskatchewan. They are found in a fairly small number of lakes across the province.
The species is a cross between a male brook trout and a female lake trout.
In Saskatchewan, Splake are raised at the Saskatchewan Fish Hatchery on Echo Lake and released into ponds and lakes across the province.
