Opal Lake

Opal Lake is one of the super popular "Gem Lakes" located in Narrow Hills Provincial Park. The Gem Lakes are an incredibly popular destination for hiking, paddling, swimming, and camping!

Opal Lake has beautiful clear water, and two campsites available on the northern end of the lake.

The only access to Opal Lake is by trail or paddling/portaging. The parking lot for accessing all the Gem Lakes is located near Jade Lake. There is a portage connecting Opal Lake to Little Jade Lake, Diamond Lake, and Sapphire Lake.

Opal Lake is regularly stocked with Brown Trout. Different types of stocked trout can be found in most of the Gem Lakes.

This lake has been personally visited by myself, Matthew Siemens.

It was so fun to stand in the water at the tiny beach and have the little fish come and pick at my feet!

These maps were produced by the government a long time ago, using primitive methods. They are not intended for navigation and should not be expected to be accurate.
