Candle Lake
Candle Lake is one of the most popular recreational destinations in the province.
The lake draws huge crowds in the summer to the water and community. In the winter it's a popular destination for snowmobiling and ice-fishing.
The lake is a massive 32,616 acres and is 72km N of Prince Albert.
The Resort Village of Candle Lake boasts a very significant summertime population and offers many services including a clinic, bank, restaurants, ice-cream shops, gas stations, and groceries. Most of the rest of the lake is within Candle Lake Provincial Park.
There are two large provincial campgrounds, multiple RV parks, thousands of cabins, six main beaches, a golf course and endless activities for families.
This lake has been personally visited by myself, Matthew Siemens.

This beach is located very close to the centre of the Resort Village of Candle Lake. There is a decent amount of parking, and it's very popular with families. This is the only public beach that is accessible by road and doesn't require a Provincial Park pass.

Sandy Bay Beach
This large beach is located at the Sandy Bay Campground within the provincial park. It has lots of parking and bathrooms. There is an Aquatics Adventures waterpark located at this beach as well.
Islands Beach
Jeff's Beach
This is a nice long shallow sandy beach. One of my favourites and great for kids. Accessible either by boat, or by walking across the Candle Lake Dam and along a short trail.
Candle Lake Dam
This dam regulates the water level in Candle Lake and is operated by the WSA. It is a 3.4 metre high concrete dam that was built in 1979. From here the lake discharges into the Torch River.
When originally build the dam prevented spawning fish from travelling between the river and the lake. The Minowukaw Fishway was built in 2002 to make it easier for fish to move once again.
