Visited Wakaw Lake Regional Park today. It was very quiet and enjoyed every minute. My sister and I went out on a paddle and it was really the perfect day for a paddle. We watched some fish swim by the shore and saw some fish jumps while floating around.

Stumbled upon this lake while exploring back roads and hiking trails. It is part of the Trans Canada Trail and there is a 1km hike from the road to the warm up shelter on the east side of the lake. It doesn't look like anyone fishes there.

There are a lot of fish in this lake. The water is really clear and you can see your fishing tackle swim for a long time. There were lots of fish jumps and quite a few bites. We almost had a catch! Going to go back tonight.

Great dock fishing. No access for motor boats. Lots of fry swimming around but no bites this morning.

This is a beautiful and large lake. There are six different campgrounds around. We stayed at Selwood Campground. It was very quiet. Only a few other people. We went paddle boarding in the morning and drank our coffee. The water is so clear. I definitely recommend visiting.

Stopped by this evening. It was pretty busy but quite a few little fish jumps. No catches though, unfortunately. Water has dropped a bit since last summer.

The Bradwell Reservoir has had several some upgrades recently. Not only have they done some landscaping and add rocks to fish off of, they have always widened the road and added more accessible fishing spots.

The hike to Steiestol is a quick, but beautiful hike. This was our third time visiting. The water has risen about a foot since our last visit. It was a very windy day so we didn't end up going out on the water. We relaxed and just enjoyed the view.

Today we hiked the Klinger trail. It was very smoky outside however near the end the smoke had started to clear. We did both Pickeral Point and the Fern Valley Boardwalk. There were tons of spider webs across the trails and the mosquitos were particularly bad on Pickeral Point that we didn't go to the Lookout Point. Maybe next time. It was a perfect hike - a little bit of hills and a lot of views.

This is our third time visiting Greenwater Lake. It started out as a beautiful day and is ending up being very smoky. We went paddling boarding for a bit but the wind made it hard. The campsite is beautiful however!

This lake is on the highway to my parents and I travel it regularly. I believe this lake is a mine run off and does not have any fish in it. As of today, the water level is a little lower than last summer. I visit here often to hunt for bones and rocks.

Today we visited Lake Diefenbaker via Danielson Provincial Park. We decided to hike part of the Trans Canada Trail, and accomplished 8,8km in and out, just under 2 hours. The trail was clear, but had lots of animal droppings and prints. The ticks were really bad during the first kilometer, but after that it was fine. Trees are beginning to bud, and the lake has no ice.

There is quite a bit of ice on the lake still, however there is water on the provincial park side of the lake. We decided to take the hike at Fisherman's Point to Sunset Shores, however there were four very large snowdrifts that we traversed through. I definitely will be going back to do some fishing in the upcoming months.

1st hike of the season. The Gift of Green trail was completely accessible. There were a couple areas that were a little muddy but nothing to worry about. The marsh water was the clearest I've ever seen it, and I watch some water beetles diving. There was a lot of elk droppings on the trail and we had a couple encounters with chickadees, chipmunks, and a squirrel.
