Deschambault Lake

Deschambault Lake is a massive lake in central Saskatchewan. It is located 99km W of Creighton. Access to the lake is from Highway 106 and Highway 911.

The Deschambault Lake Subdivision, several resorts/outfitters, a leased provincial rec. site, and four reserves are on the lake.

The lake is split into two sections by the Deschambault Channel. The western part of the lake is called Ballantyne Bay. The primary inflow for Deschambault Lake are the Deschambault River and Ballantyne River. The Puskwakan River and Palf Creek also flow into the lake.

There is a provincial rec. site on the Southeast Arm of Deschambault Lake that is leased by Northern Lights Lodge. The lodge has a campground, rental cabins, and rental boats.

Deschambault Lake Resort on the eastern shore of Ballantyne Bay has a motel, cabins, and a campground. Bloomfield's is also on Ballantyne Bay and has rental cabins and a campground.

Twin Bays Resort is also located at the lake and offers cabin rentals, camping, restaurant, boat rentals, and a boat launch.

Northern Pike, Yellow Perch, Walleye, Lake Whitefish, Burbot, White Sucker, Cisco and Longnose Sucker can be found in Deschambault Lake. Please note there are multiple custom season closures on Deschambault Lake

Deschambault Lake was named for Pierre Deschambault (also cited as d'Eschambault) who visited the area with A. S. Cochrane of the Geological Survey of Canada.
