Shiels Lake is a medium sized (556 acre) lake located 167km N of La Loche and 437km N of Meadow Lake (City).

Shiels Lake was named after Robert Kay Shiels on 1958-07-03 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
