Round Lake
Round Lake is a medium sized stocked lake in southern Saskatchewan. It is located 98km ESE of Melfort, 18km S of Greenwater Lake Provincial Park, and 24km N of Kelvington. Access to the lake is from a gravel road off of Highway 38.
The eastern side of the lake, as well as a smaller section around the dam on the western side is part of the Round Lake Recreation Site. Most of the amenities for the rec. site are on the NE side of the lake. There is a boat launch, outhouses and picnic tables. No camping is allowed in the rec. site.
There is another primitive launch with no dock in the western section of the rec. site near the dam.
Camp Sakadet, a Tri-Service Provincial Cadet Camp used by Army, Air, and Sea Cadets is located in the rec. site on the NE corner of the lake.
Walleye, Northern Pike and White Sucker can be found in Round Lake. The lake is stocked periodically with walleye fry.
The main outflow for the lake is a river that flows from the Round Lake Dam into Little Nut Lake.
