The lake is in the central fishing zone. Lake Trout, Lake Whitefish, Northern Pike and Walleye can be found in Phillips Lake.
There are no parks or communities on the lake.
Tyrell Lake Recreation Site is 9.7km NW, Granite Lake Recreation Site is 21km ENE and Tyrrell Lake Recreation Site is 9.6km NW of Phillips Lake.
Phillips Lake was named after Clifford Stanley Phillips on 1952-02-06 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
