Keep in mind:

  • A Parks Canada fishing licence is required
  • Regulations and limits differ from provincial rules

Still lots of ice on the lakes in the Central Zone

There are plenty of lakes that still have a lot of ice on them, so it might be a slow start to the season. It will be impossible to launch a boat on many lakes or even to find enough open water to fish from shore. There are a few lakes that have opened up and hopefully you're able to get out!
