Matthew Siemens

Hi, I'm Matthew!

I'm a self-employed (aka fun-employed) software developer living in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. I'm passionate about the outdoors and enjoy hiking, kayaking, biking, gardening, swimming, and camping.

My wife and I have a small cabin just north of Prince Albert, and there aren't many days throughout the year where I'm not swimming, paddling, skiing, or enjoying one of our amazing lakes.

You can contact me directly at [email protected].

I paddled into Shady Lake from Amiskowan Lake. Water was getting low, but the creek was still passable. Didn't make it all the way to Beartrap Lake but I plan on doing that next summer!

I've spent countless hours cross-country skiing on or around this lake. It's also a great spot for a hike or some bird watching!
