Konuto Lake

Konuto Lake is a small (340 acre) lake located partially within Denare Beach and 20km SW of Flin Flon.

In the 70's and 80's the lake was stocked with brook trout and rainbow trout,. In 1990's a few lakes including Konuto Lake were experimentally stocked with smallmouth bass. Konuto Lake was the only one that proved to be successful and continues to support a population of smallmouth bass that is open to the public.

In addition to smallmouth bass, there are walleye, northern pike and yellow perch in Konuto Lake. Remember that the limit for smallmouth bass is 0.

It's the only one with them listed from HabiSK. Honestly they haven't been stocked since 1998 so I'm not sure how many are still surviving in here anymore. They were stocked in a few other lakes around the same time, but I don't believe they proved viable in any other lakes.
