A number of different species of trout are stocked in lakes and rivers across Saskatchewan. The species currently being stocked are Rainbow Trout, Brook Trout, Brown Trout, Splake, and Tiger Trout.

The majority of these lakes are stocked by the Saskatchewan Fish Fish Hatchery, but a small number are stocked by different branches of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation and other organizations.
