The lake is in the central fishing zone. Burbot, Lake Trout, Lake Whitefish, Longnose Sucker, Northern Pike, Walleye and Yellow Perch can be found in Chachukew Lake.
There are no parks or communities on the lake. Chachukew Lake is partially within Maskikopawiscikosik 229 (Reserve).
The lake was officially named on 1956-09-06. The name Chachukew Lake is of Cree origin.
