Lac La Ronge Provincial Park is 24km NNW, MacKay Lake Recreation Site is 11km N, Devil Lake Recreation Site is 17km SW and Missinipe Recreation Site is 12km WSW of Beranek Lake.
Beranek Lake was named after Stanley Joseph Beranek on 1952-07-03 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
