Niven Lake is a very large (8281 acre) lake located 12km ENE of Dorintosh and 31km N of Meadow Lake (City).

Niven Lake was named after Charles Morrison Niven on 1956-03-01 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
