McDonell Lake is a very small (74 acre) lake located 49km NE of La Ronge and 249km NNE of Prince Albert.
The lake is within Lac La Ronge Provincial Park.
McDonell Lake was named after John Alexander McDonell on 1957-10-03 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
