Kavanagh Lake is a medium sized (1435 acre) lake located 58km NNE of La Ronge and 270km N of Prince Albert.

Kavanagh Lake was named after John Patrick Kavanagh on 1947-11-04 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
