On Monday 24, 2025 I took a drive through one of my favourite places on earth, Narrow Hills Provincial Park. I wanted to see how things looked after the first snow and how the lakes were freezing up.

I'm going to be adding additional photos and videos to this page over the next few days so stay tuned if your curious to see how the park is looking now.

Lakes Visited

Candle Lake, Heritage Lake, Jade Lake, Summit Lake, Sealey Lake, Burtlein Lake, Lower Fishing Lake, Shannon Lake, Ispuchaw Lake, Zeden Lake

The road was in great shape through out and access was good to many of the lakes. People have been out fishing on quite a few of the smaller lakes, and I'm hearing of some pretty big trout being caught on some of them.

The park staff has been hard at work and it's great to see some of the lakes and campgrounds being cleaned up! New outhouses have been setup at Zeden Lake and Ispuchaw Lake and campsites are starting to look like campsites again (although with a lot less trees I'm afraid).

The campground at Lower Fishing Lake looks very different from how it did, I had a hard time even recognizing the loop that I usually camp in.

Ice Fishing Map (Access and Ice Conditions, more coming soon)

I'm working on a ice fishing map this season. Initially it will have ice thickness/condition and access reports and eventually I'll add layers for ice shack rentals, accommodation, outfitters, etc.

Please consider adding any reports/information you have to the map, it will really rely on community involvement to be successful!
