The lake is in the northern fishing zone. Arctic Grayling, Burbot, Cisco, Lake Trout, Lake Whitefish, Longnose Sucker, Northern Pike, Round Whitefish, Walleye, White Sucker and Yellow Perch can be found in Hatchet Lake.
