Waterhen Lake is a massive (17917 acre) lake located 19km ENE of Greig Lake (Village) and 40km N of Meadow Lake (City). The lake is partially within Waterhen 130 (Reserve).

Meadow Lake Provincial Park is adjacent to Waterhen Lake.

The lake was officially named on 1945-07-28.
