MacDonnell Lake is a medium sized (751 acre) lake located 24km N of Candle Lake (Village) and 92km NNE of Prince Albert.

MacDonnell Lake was named after John Kenneth MacDonnell on 1968-11-06 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
