Bakers Narrows Provincial Park is 14km WSW, Amisk Lake Recreation Site is 15km E, Meridian Creek Recreation Site is 21km ENE, Neso Lake Provincial Park is 21km W and Twin Lakes Provincial Park is 25km W of Craig Lake.
Craig Lake was named after Lyle Lewis Craig on 1964-10-14 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
