McLennan Lake Recreation Site is 22km W and Dickens Lake Recreation Site is 21km N of Brochu Lake.
Brochu Lake was named after Armand Joseph Brochu on 1950-01-16 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
