The lake is in the central fishing zone. Burbot, Lake Whitefish, Northern Pike and Walleye can be found in Broadbent Lake.
There are no parks or communities on the lake.
Broadbent Lake was named after Robert Charles Broadbent on 1958-06-05 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
