Greig Lake

Greig Lake is a large recreational lake and fishing in Meadow Lake Provincial Park. The lake is about 40km from the city of Meadow Lake. The lake is accessible from Highway 224 which passes the south end of the lake.

The Resort Village of Greig Lake and the Provincial Park campground are on the east shore of the lake. Waters Edge Eco Lodge is on the south-west corner of the lake.

The park office is located at Greig Lake, and the lake has many amenities and activities available. There are tons of campsites, two boat launches, a store, boat rentals, showers, laundry, washrooms, tennis and basketball courts, hiking trails, an interpretive trail, cabin rentals and more!

Northern Pike, Yellow Perch, Walleye, Lake Whitefish, Burbot, White Sucker, Cisco and Longnose Sucker can be found in Greig Lake. The lake has not been stocked frequently in the past, but was stocked with 300,000 walleye fry in 2024. Please note there is a custom limit for walleye on Greig Lake.

Greig Lake offers tons to do for visitors and is also an ideal base for exploring the dozens of other lakes that Meadow Lake Provincial Park has to offer!

Walleye: (1723 - 2880 g) Sparse Pike: (660 - 2390 g) Moderate Perch (33 - 75 g) Poor Whitefish (83 - 1924 g) July 3 - 5 / Gill nets. Walleye population is consistent with previous survey with limited natural reproduction occurring. Angling success is reported as fair. Pike abundance has decreased, with angling success reported as good. All perch were forage size (<18 cm). The whitefish population remains stable.
