Abel Lake is a small lake located 41km ENE of Green Lake (Village) and 88km ENE of Meadow Lake (City). The lake has a surface area of 170 acres and is located at: 54.456069429196674,-107.21622337723322.

Dore Lake Recreation Site is 27km S, Smoothstone Lake Recreation Site is 23km SW, Shirley Lake Recreation Site is 4.4km SSE and Beaupré Creek Recreation Site is 9km SSE of Abel Lake.
Abel Lake was named after John James Abel on 1957-09-05 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
