Prince Albert National Park is 38km WNW, Nesslin Lake Recreation Site is 24km NNW, Delaronde Lake (Zig Zag Bay) Recreation Site is 23km N, Hackett Lake Recreation Site is 5.9km NE and Top Lake Recreation Site is 23km N of Wylie Lake.
Wylie Lake was named after Richard Brock Wylie on 1951-04-05 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
