Townsend Lake is a small stocked lake located 59km SE of Hudson Bay and 150km NNE of Yorkton. The lake has a surface area of 428 acres and is located at: 52.481643341853086,-101.73734018695106.

The lake is in the southern fishing zone. Northern Pike, Walleye, White Sucker and Yellow Perch can be found in Townsend Lake. It was last stocked in 2017 with 99,980 Walleye Fry.

Porcupine Hills Provincial Park is adjacent the lake. Townsend Lake is partially within Hudson Bay No. 394 (Rural Municipality).

Brockelbank Hill Protected Area is 18km SSE, Whitefish Lake Provincial Park is 19km NNW, Porcupine Provincial Forest is 22km W and Brockelbank Hill is 18km S of Townsend Lake.

Townsend Lake was named after Robert Wilfred Ernest Townsend on 1951-10-04 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
