Porten Lake is a small lake located 411km NE of La Loche and 618km NNE of Meadow Lake (City). The lake has a surface area of 261 acres and is located at: 59.34679334449796,-105.03528525340063.

Porten Lake was named after Jack Mervin Frank Porten on 1963-06-12 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
