2026 passes are now required for Saskatchewan Provincial Parks

As of May 1, 2026, a valid 2026 park entry permit is required to access all Saskatchewan provincial parks. April 30 marked the final day for 2025 park passes.

The good news: prices remain unchanged for 2026:

  • $82 - Annual Pass
  • $42 - Weekly Pass
  • $11 - Daily Pass

Where to Buy a Park Pass

You can purchase your pass:

Note: A $1 shipping fee applies to annual passes purchased online or by phone. Annual permits purchased online or by phone cannot be picked up in park. Once purchased annual permits and shipping fees are not refundable.

Plan Ahead

Not all parks have convenient access to park offices. For example, some parks don’t have an office at all, while others may have offices located far from popular areas.

With the May Long Weekend approaching, expect lineups at park gates and offices. Buying your pass in advance can save you time and hassle.

Choosing the Right Pass

Daily Permit - $11

  • Best for short visits (1-3 days)
  • Valid from time of purchase until 2 p.m. the following day
  • Can be upgraded to a weekly or annual pass while still valid
  • Not transferable between vehicles

Weekly Permit - $42

  • Ideal for stays of 4-7 days
  • Valid for 7 consecutive days
  • Not transferable between vehicles

Annual Permit - $82

  • Best value for frequent visitors or longer stays
  • Valid until April 30, 2027
  • Can be transferred between vehicles
  • Costs less than buying two weekly passes

If you're planning multiple trips or spending more than a week in parks this year, the annual pass is usually the most cost-effective option.

Discounts & Special Permits

  • Seniors (65+): Saskatchewan residents can receive a free annual permit with valid ID (available in-park only)
  • First Nations, Metis, and Inuit visitors: Courtesy entry permits are available for those exercising traditional use rights (must present valid status upon arrival)
  • SaskAbilities Accessible Parking Permit Holders: Receive 25% off park entry (available in-park only)

Important Notes

  • A valid permit allows access to all Saskatchewan provincial parks
  • Permits must be valid and visible while in the park
  • Lost, stolen, or damaged passes will not be replaced or refunded

If you're heading out this spring, especially for May Long, grabbing your pass ahead of time is one of the easiest ways to start your trip stress-free.
