It's shaping up to be a really nice weekend across Saskatchewan, and a lot of people will be heading out to the lakes.
Just a reminder though, there is still a lot of slush out there right now. Many lakes have a layer of slush on top of the ice, often insulated/hidden by a layer of snow. This is resulting in weaker more dangerous ice in many places. Please be safe out there, if you decide to head out on the ice!
The last part of this video shows some real examples of the slush conditions I've had sent to me. If you're heading out, plan ahead, take it slow, take all necessary safety precautions and make sure to test ice thickness/safety.
Stay safe and enjoy the weekend.
