Pre-evacuation alert lifted for Prince Albert National Park

The Prince Albert National Park FB page posted this morning (Aug. 6, 2025) that the pre-evacuation alert has now been lifted for the park including the Waskesiu Lake townsite. PANP FB Post

The BUHL fire is still uncontained. The park re-iterated that the situation could change quickly, and an evacuation alert or order could still be issued in the future if necessary.

The fire ban as well as area closures in the park still remain in effect.
