Clarence-Steepbank Park to remain closed for the rest of the 2025 season due to wildfire damage
The Clarence-Steepbank Lakes Provincial Park will remain closed for the rest of the 2025 season due to wildfire damage.
The road to the park has been blocked for months now since the SHOE fire first began burning in the area. There has been no official announcement on if the park would re-open until recently though. There was an official update on the Sask Parks Alerts & Restrictions that says the park will remain closed for the entire 2025 season.
This is obviously disappointing for everyone who wanted to head up there this summer, but I'm sure there is a lot of work required to make sure the park is safe for visitors again. Hopefully we can all be back up there next year!
