The northern part of Prince Albert National Park has been closed due to wildfire risk

On July 13th the Prince Albert National Park closed the northern area of the park. The area closed extends from the northern boundary and includes but is not limited to: Kingsmere Wilderness Area, Crean Lake and area, the Heart Lakes and area, Wabeno Lake, Wassegam Lake, Tibiska Lake, Nova Lake, and Osten Lake areas. The BUHL fire has entered the north end of the park and is approximately 40km from the Waskesiu Townsite.
