Gem Lakes and Lost Echo Lake Campground closed for 2025 camping season

Due to damage caused by the forest fires in Narrow Hills Provincial Park the campgrounds at Gem Lakes and Lost Echo Lake will be closed for the rest of the 2025 camping season. If you have a reservation at either of these campgrounds, the park will be contacting you to re-book at another campground or offer a refund.

Narrow Hills Provincial Park Wild Fire Updates

The entire Narrow Hills Provincial Park will remain closed until May 29th, and anyone with a reservation in May at other Narrow Hills Campgrounds will receive the same option to re-book or be refunded.

Currently, all highways into Narrow Hills Provincial Park are still closed.

The Gem Lakes Campground and Lost Echo Campground were both very popular backcountry campgrounds in the park and their closure will be felt by many this summer. There are several other campgrounds in Narrow Hills Provincial Park at Baldy Lake, Lower Fishing Lake, Zeden Lake and Ispuchaw Lake.
