10th Annual Christmas Tree Harvest at Prince Albert National Park

The Christmas Tree Harvest returns to Prince Albert National Park for its 10th year! From November 22 to December 23, 2025, visitors can harvest a young spruce or pine from a designated area within the Waskesiu Community Fuel Break.

To participate, you must pick up a free Christmas Tree Activity Pass and an official harvest map before cutting your tree. These are available at the Visitor Centre in Waskesiu.

Harvesting a tree helps maintain the community fuel break by removing small, densely packed conifers while giving families a fun winter tradition. Remember to dress warm, bring proper tools, and follow all guidelines.

Important Notes

  • You must access the trees on foot. (No atvs/utvs).
  • You must use an axe/handsaw. (No chainsaws).
  • A first-aid kit, extra clothing, and a sled are recommended.
  • Remember that a National Park Pass is required to access the park until December 12, 2025 when the Canada Strong Pass starts.

Learn more about the harvest on the Parks Website. See hours of operation for the Visitor Centre.
