The lake is in the central fishing zone. Lake Trout, Lake Whitefish, Northern Pike and Walleye can be found in Music Lake.
There are no parks or communities on the lake.
Music Lake was named after Frederick Warren Music on 1958-05-01 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
