Mountney Lake is a medium sized (2024 acre) lake located 66km N of La Ronge and 276km NE of Meadow Lake (City).

Mountney Lake was named after Irwin Ronald Mountney on 1960-01-21 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
