Little Amyot Lake Recreation Site is 17km WSW, Canoe Lake Recreation Site is 20km ESE and Canoe Lake (Cole Bay) Recreation Site is 20km ESE of Hazle Lake.
Hazle Lake was named after Oliver Baker Hazle on 1951-09-06 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
