Gavel Lake is a medium sized lake located 29km NW of Pinehouse and 204km NNE of Meadow Lake (City). The lake has a surface area of 1,026 acres and is located at: 55.72236934018134,-106.86804322053212.
The lake is in the central fishing zone. Cisco, Lake Whitefish, Northern Pike, Walleye and Yellow Perch can be found in Gavel Lake.
There are no parks or communities on the lake.
Gordon Lake Recreation Site is 21km WSW of Gavel Lake.
Gavel Lake was named after Arthur Douglas Gavel on 1951-06-07 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
