East Trout Lake is a very large lake located 66km NNE of Candle Lake (Village) and 134km NNE of Prince Albert. The lake has a surface area of 6,094 acres and is located at: 54.36931700163356,-105.08338929493645.

The lake is in the central fishing zone. Burbot, Cisco, Lake Trout, Lake Whitefish, Longnose Sucker, Northern Pike, Walleye, White Sucker and Yellow Perch can be found in East Trout Lake.

There are no parks or communities on the lake.

Little Bear Lake Recreation Site is 28km WNW, 106-Narrow Lake-120 Road Corridor Game Preserve is 31km WNW, Piprell Lake Recreation Site is 27km NNW, Narrow Hills Provincial Park is 49km NW and Clarence - Steepbank Lakes Provincial Park is 13km NNW of East Trout Lake.

The lake was officially named on 1953-04-02. East Trout Lake was previously known as:
