Carswell Lake is a very large (9895 acre) lake located 235km N of La Loche and 502km N of Meadow Lake (City).

Carswell Lake was named after James Richard Carswell on 1956-03-01 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
