Limestone Lake Recreation Site is 15km ESE, Hanson Lake Recreation Site is 8.5km SW and Deschambault Lake (South East Arm) Recreation Site is 19km ESE of Chisholm Lake.
Chisholm Lake was named after Robert Donald Chisholm on 1954-06-03 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
