Bakers Narrows Provincial Park is 28km WNW, Tyrell Lake Recreation Site is 13km SSE, Amisk Lake Recreation Site is 17km N and Tyrrell Lake Recreation Site is 13km SSE of Wilson Lake.
Wilson Lake was named after Ross MacRae Wilson on 1951-04-05 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
